Joey pictures! From his "GOTCHA" party.

Joey's one big request for his party was Blue cake. So that's what his Mama made for him. There was a train, and a baseball cake. Also cupcakes with his name on them.

Grandpa Morris told the story of the events of Joey's adoption at the court house and then made made application to God adopting us.

The much loved Mrs. Morrison.

It was a chilly night. Anita kept an eye on the children.

Joel enjoyed the food.

Grandma Morris holding Sadie.

Anita and Jenelle. The young Morris women.

Friends -this picture is for Heidi.

Joey with his Mommy and Daddy as well as his friend Michelle.

Cutting the cake.

They even had ice cream with blue stuff in it. It looked fancy, but I didn't taste it.

Christa and Paul

Joey wasn't sure blue cake was so special after all. Actually, I think he wanted a cupcake instead of a big piece.

The old guys... Dad, DH, Scott and Harry.

The sun was bright. It was a beautiful day. One of the first in a long time. We have had way too much rain lately! But it didn't rain in Joey's special day. (Note the horse in the background for those interested)

Gabe wanted more pink milk to go with his blue cake. Michelle kept an eye on him and made sure he behaved!

This was such a special day. So many celebrating the life and adoption of a sweet boy. We thank God for bringing Joey into our circle of friends.

AWANA Closing Program

WARNING: This blog entry is pretty much for my family in the Philippines. The rest of you are more than welcome to look at it, but you will probably find it pretty boring. :-)

Joanne worked like a house afire as she got the food on the table. She was just a blur as she ran from stove to stove and back to the roaster pans filled with sauce.

Rosemary set out all the cookies on plates, and many other jobs.

Rosemary and Michelle discuss some details about setting out the food.

Debbie is gloved and ready to get the garlic bread in the baskets to be set on the table.

Joanne comes up for a quick snack as she gets ready for the next rush. There were 120 people signed up to come to the meal and there was at least that many that showed up. It was a wonderful turnout.

Mom comes in for a quick moment to rest her feet.

My sister taught the SPARKS last year and these pictures are from her class. Mason did great and finished his book and more.

?, Colin, Little M, Elizabeth, Rapp, Parks. I am not sure of everybody's names.
Obviously, this is Logan, Jeremy, and Levi.

Cynthia couldn't be there, so I took a few extra pix of her daughter.

Levi got his first book award.
Elizabeth did got her second book award and did a review.

DH was doing a last minute job of filling out the certificates for Journey.

Trevor enjoyed the spotlight, but got a certificate.

TNT leaders. Don, Scott and Dave.

Thomas got his meritorious award for completing six books. He says that he really has done 11 already.
The Junior high Trek group. Thomas, Doane, Rapp, Alayna, Tyler and Matt was there too. Zach was missing.

Introducing the high school Journey group, My DH.

His co-workers, George and Paul.

Paul and Michelle both completed both of their books. They have 2 books per year, 1/semester.

AWANA is a great ministry and it is neat to see so many children participate and hide God's word in their heart.
